Symbolic logic provides powerful tools for analysing and evaluating the claims and arguments we come across in everyday life. But before we can use these tools, we must learn how to translate everyday language into the language of symbolic logic. By the time you complete our Level 1 Course you will have the ability to translate everyday sentences into their logical forms. Here are a couple of examples of what that looks like:
“It is cold and rainy” = (P & Q)
“House prices will not fall unless interest rates rise” = (~Q → ~P)
